North Shore Child & Family Guidance Center, founded in 1953, is the leading children's mental health agency on Long Island providing an extensive and comprehensive range of mental health services for children, youth, and families regardless of income.

Our staff is composed of expert, highly-trained, experienced social workers, psychologists, psychiatrists, and alcohol and drug counselors who provide diagnosis and treatment for children, youth, and families offering individual, group, and family therapy; substance abuse treatment; and well as advocacy and case management services. In addition to these core services, we also offer a variety of community services, programs, and educational counseling groups geared to special life situations.

We are also a major training and consultation facility for professionals serving children and their families, as well as an important community resource for parents offering education and consultation on both normal development and crisis issues.
