TURNABOUT utilizes a therapeutic foster parent model as an alternative to more restrictive settings for children with emotional disturbances who cannot be adequately cared for at home. Placement is voluntary and the goal is reunification. Therapeutic foster families are recruited, carefully screened and trained. When selected and matched with a child, they receive a monthly stipend and ongoing training.

TURNABOUT takes a team approach where child, their parent or guardian, staff and the professional "therapeutic family" all work together to optimize the child’s success and opportunity for reunification with their family.
